Syringe Access and Disposal


Plumas County Public Health Agency launched its syringe access and disposal program in June, 2018. The program is completely anonymous, and everyone is welcome. 

In addition to dispensing syringes, the program offers injection supplies, wound care supplies, safer injection information, overdose prevention education, HIV and Hep C testing and counseling, naloxone/Narcan distribution.

Home deliveries can be scheduled the first and third Friday of each month by calling 530-283-7099 in advance.



Every first and third Tuesday from 3-5 p.m. at the Quincy Resource Center. 591 Main Street.


Every first and third Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. at the Portola Resource Center. 164 Ridge Street.


Every first and third Thursday from 3-5 p.m. at the Chester Resource Center. 372 Main Street.
