Syringe Access and Disposal


Plumas County Public Health Agency launched its syringe access and disposal program in June, 2018. The program is completely anonymous, and everyone is welcome. 

In addition to dispensing syringes, the program offers injection supplies, first aid supplies, safer injection information, overdose prevention education, HIV and Hep C testing and counseling, naloxone/Narcan distribution, and referrals to local treatment options.

Home deliveries can be scheduled for people unable to access a regular location by calling 530-283-7099 in advance.

Quincy Resource Center, Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  591 Main Street.


Portola Resource Center, Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  164 Ridge Street.


Every first and third Thursday from 3-5 p.m. at the Chester Resource Center. 372 Main Street.
